The biggest problem we come across in weight loss is under-eating! This kills your weight loss and your body in many more ways than you might think! Under-eating is very common especially among women!
Although you might eat a lot on special occasions or sometimes in the night time, overall you are under-eating because you are ‘too busy’ to eat throughout the day! Under-eating destroys the body very quickly. You might lose weight for a week or two but it stops pretty quickly! Weight loss will then be harder than ever because you have destroyed your metabolism and your hormone balance!
Under-eating is one of the main causes of cravings! It is a key factor in many health problems, but often the connection is not made – slow thyroid, extreme fatigue, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, IBS, depression, bad PMS, early menopause, infertility, osteoporosis to mention a few!
Very often under-eaters rely on coffee or energy drinks and this makes the matter far worse, driving their metabolism and hormone balance crazy!
As a rule of thumb you should never ever eat less than 1200 calories daily for weight loss and young people, those with high stress lifestyles and active people need far more than this in order to lose weight!
You will never successfully lose weight if you under-eat and the more often you do it the slower your metabolism becomes and the harder it will be to ever conquer your weight!
